Receive data from AWS SQS subscribed to Eventbridge Bus reporting events related to an S3 bucket or multiple buckets. Access Key/Secret Key are the basic method for authenticating to the AWS SQS Service. To use this Kamelet you’ll need to set up Eventbridge on your bucket and subscribe Eventbridge bus to an SQS Queue. For doing this you’ll need to enable Evenbridge notification on your bucket and creating a rule on Eventbridge console related to all the events on S3 bucket and pointing to the SQS Queue specified as parameter in this Kamelet.

Camel JBang usage

Prerequisites

  • You’ve installed JBang.

  • You have executed the following command:

jbang app install camel@apache/camel

Supposing you have a file named route.yaml with this content:

Prerequisite

Procedure for using the cluster CLI

  1. Save the aws-s3-cdc-source-pipe.yaml file to your local drive, and then edit it as needed for your configuration.

  2. Run the source by using the following command:

    kubectl apply -f aws-s3-cdc-source-pipe.yaml

Procedure for using the Kamel CLI

Configure and run the source by using the following command:

kamel bind channel:mychannel -p "source.accessKey=The Access Key" -p "source.queueNameOrArn=The Queue Name" -p "source.region=The AWS Region" -p "source.secretKey=The Secret Key" aws-s3-cdc-source

This command creates the Kamelet Pipe in the current namespace on the cluster.

Kafka source

You can use the aws-s3-cdc-source Kamelet as a Kafka source by binding it to a Kafka topic.
